Childcare Theory Refresher
To assist those working in the Childcare industry to maintain their currency of theory knowledge in first aid, we have developed an online course that can be completed in the safety of your own home. IT IS NOT designed to replace the normal first aid training requirements you have under Safework NSW / Safework Australia or ACECQA Australian Children’s Education and Care Authority.

We strongly recommend that if your first aid is due to be refreshed you should try and attend a Nationally Recognised first aid course – we do however strongly recommend AGAINST courses that advertise completion of online work followed by short duration face to face assessment only.
If you cannot get to a proper first aid course, as per ACECQA, you can simply refresh your theory knowledge by enrolling in our online module. Then, as soon as you are able to attend a face to face course, refresh your training as per the normal guidelines. Our online theory module only costs $30 – $10 is redeemable when you enrol into an accredited course with us later in the year.
The online module will take up to a few hours to complete, at the end you can print off the final slide providing evidence of successful completion. This evidence should be provided to your employer and retained in case of audit.
Remember to keep an eye open on our website for when we start up courses again, we will also alert you via email so you can book into a course as soon as possible.
Booking into this online module – important information
- You will need to accept the mandatory agreements on the booking page, however they are not relevant to this course as it is non-accredited and online only – our systems simply don’t normally accommodate online only courses.
- Ignore the date of the course. You can start whenever you wish.
- This is a non-Nationally Recognised unit.
